Last Call for Sale-a-Bration with The Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop!

The Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop

Welcome to the Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop for March 2018. This month our theme is Last Call for Sale-a-Bration!  You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog –Lisa Pretto @ InkBig Academy Stamps or you may have come from the person previous to me on the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you don’t miss any of the projects and inspiration.

First, I feel like I need to introduce myself since it has been so long since I have blogged! #bloggerwoes

But here is the deal: I don’t love to blog. Yep, it just isn’t my jam.

But you know what I do love? Facebook

and I love connecting and sharing with you, and I feel like I can do a better job of that on Facebook.

So 2 things:

I am committing to #365creativechallenge. I am going to share for 365 days straight on my FB page AND do a giveaway each day for those who stop by and comment. So make sure you are part of my page HERE

Secondly, I am going to use my WEEKLY newsletter to offer sales, specials and PDFs. So make sure you are signed up for that HERE

and I will blog occasionally when I am doing blog hops with my team, because that is way fun!

So today’s theme is all about the LAST CALL for SaleABration. SaleABration comes to a close the end of March and I have a couple items that I have fallen in love with and do not want you to miss out on!

This Spring Time Foils Designer Series Paper has to be one of my most favorite Stampin’Up! papers ever. It is stunning metallic prints on a creamy background. You know I am a clean and simple girl so I like to use it just as it is. But I have seen it colored and sponged to create one of a kind backgrounds.

  • 12 sheets of 12 x 12 paper
  • 3 each of four designs
  • Silver, Gold and Rose Gold
  • FREE with a $50 purchase

Confession time: I actually have 2 sets of the Celebrate Thinlit Dies because I was worried I might misplace one and knew I would want a back up. I love words and these sentiments perfectly cover almost every occasion!

They are one of the products you can earn for free with a $100 order during SAB, DEFINITELY worth it! I am smitten!

So here is my clean and simple card showcasing the two Stampin’Up! SaleABration items I sure don’t want you to miss:

Stampin'Up! SaleABration, Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper, Celebrate You thinlit dies, papercrafting, DIY, technique, tutorials

Details:

  • The card base is Stampin’Up! Thick Whisper White cardstock cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. I lightly score it before folding for a clean crisp fold line.
  • The Basic Black layer is 4 x 5 1/4″ and the top layer of Whisper White is 3 3/4 x 5″
  • The Springtime Foil Designer Series Paper is cut to 2″ wide. It is attached to a piece of Basic Black that is 2 1/4″ wide.
  • I then laid it across the card front and trimmed off the excess (and saved it of course to use on another project!)
  • The sparkly “celebrate” was cropped out using the Celebrate You thinlits and Stampin’Up! Gold Glimmer Paper. i like to use our Fine Tipped Glue Pen to adhere the sentiment to the card.

Stampin’Up! Hold onto Hope stamp set, 3 ways!

First, I feel like I need to introduce myself since it has been so long since I have blogged! #bloggerwoes

But here is the deal: I don’t love to blog. Yep, it just isn’t my jam.

But you know what I do love? Facebook

I do have a fabulous share for you today from my InkBigAcademy Design Team that showcases the Hold on to Hope Bundle from the Occasions Catalog…..plus I have even more samples of this over on my Facebook Page today.

The Hold on to Hope bundle is such a beautiful set that you can use not only year round, but will make spectacular Easter cards

I love the monochromatic look of Fresh Fig on the card below.

Both the Brick Wall embossing folder and the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper add so much interest.

Lemon Lime Twist….can we have a moment. I have to be honest that when I got a preview of this color I was not excited. But once I had it in my craft room? It is my number one go to color. I love how well it plays with others and has a retro/hip/modern feel …. is that even a thing?

Isn’t this card so fresh and bright and cheery?

the church that I belong to has a Good Friday service that I rarely miss. It begins at noon and finishes at 3 pm. One of the last things they do is shroud the cross. It is so emotion filled….luckily we take the shroud off on Sunday morning, but that imagery will always stay with me.

Those emotions are so strikingly conveyed in the card below, and isn’t that sentiment just perfect?

I have some more samples of this bundle on my Facebook page today so be sure to pop over there, leave a comment and be entered to win today’s giveaway.

and don’t forget to sign up for my newsletter where I will share a weekly special, along with PDF’s for your use!

Happy Friday xoxo

Inking Royalty February Blog Hop: They Say It’s Your Birthday!

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s February Blog Hop!

Today’s Blog Hop today is filled to the brim with projects that celebrate birthdays. The opening line from The Beatles’ “Birthday” song ran through our heads as we joyfully created the birthday-themed creations we share with you today. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

As my friends and I have gotten (a little) older we have realized how critical it is to show up for each other. One of the things I am committed to doing is sending more birthday cards and goodies. Not every one has a significant other and when you have college age kiddos you are happy for a random text. Girlfriends become more importnat each year!

I thought this card would certainly make anyone feel special and cared for on their birthday

Stampin'Up! Beautiful Peacock stamp set, SaleABration, happy birthday card, free with $50 order, template, technique, tutorials

Details:

The card base is Stampin’Up! Thick Whisper White cardstock. I love how fancy and impressive it feels. I added a layer of our regular Whisper White cut to 4 x 5 1/4″.

I stamped the sweet little flowers from the Beautiful Peacock stamp set diagonally across the Whisper White in Lemon Lime Twist, Bermuda Bay and Tempting Turquoise. The Beautiful Peacock stamp set is one of our SaleABration sets and is free to you with a minimum $50 purchase.

I added some of our Glimmer Dots for a festive sparkle. I love that they have adhesive on the back for a clean and simple placement.

the main image is stamped in a combination of those same 3 colors again: Lemon Lime Twist, Bermuda Bay and Tempting Turquoise.

I added lots of colorful layers and dimensionals under the layers for an extra wow factor.

The sentiment is also from the Beautiful Peacock stamp set and is stamped in Tempting Turquoise and cropped out with one of the small scallop circle punches. I layered it onto a Lemon Lime Twist Circle.

I love that this card looks special, but actually came together rather quickly with the emphasis on the artwork and layers of cardstock.

I had all of the supplies out and on my stamping table so it was really easy to create the card below, #bonus

The only additional product I used was the Petal Pair Embossing folder. I love how it elevates this clean and simple card to a WOW
