Inking Royalty Blog Hop: Christmas in July

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s July Blog Hop! It’s Christmas in July, and today’s Blog Hop is filled with projects inspired by … you guessed it … Christmas! What fun!

Although Stampin’ Up!’s 2017 Holiday Catalog will be released to demonstrators this week (we can’t wait to share that with you), our Annual Catalog is filled with fun, festive and beautiful ways to make Christmas special. We are excited to share our creations with you today. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Stampin'Up! Carols of Chritmas bundle, sneak peek, christmas in july, peace on earth, gold heat embossing, DIY, papercrafting, holiday card

Details:

  • This card is a little sneak peek of the Carols of Christmas bundle that will be available to you on August 1. The clear mount bundle is #146037, $45 and the wood mount is #146036, $52. I will be highlighting this set for the next few days so stay tuned!
  • This clean and simple card features Whisper White, Gold, and a spot of Island Indigo
  • The greeting is stamped in Versamark and heat embossed in Gold. I love the boldness of this sentiment and it works so well as the focal point of this clean and simple card.
  • It is cropped out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and mounted on a scalloped square made with the Layering Squares Framelits. The Big Shot and Magnetic Platform make a quick work of these images.
  • Those beautiful banners are made with the Bundle of Love Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Triple Banner Punch. This paper is delish! So pretty and who can resist all that shine!
  • And the Gold Metallic Edged Ribbon is spectacular. It also comes n Silver and is such an easy way to add a sparkly wow to a card or project.

Inking Royalty Blog Hop: NEW InColors!!

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s June 2017 Blog Hop! Today’s Blog Hop is filled with projects inspired by Stampin’ Up!’s 2017-2019 In Colors – Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink and Tranquil Tide. What an amazing collection of new colors!

We are excited to share our creations with these new colors. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

You know me, I couldn’t pick a favorite! So I used all the new 2017-2019 In Colors and showcased one of my favorite new stamp sets, Great Big Greetings!

Stampin'Up! Great Big Greetings stamp set, NEW 2017-2019 In colors, fancy fold, card sketch, techniques, tutorials, #lisapretto #inkbigacademystamps

  • Details:
  • Measurements: all of the card bases are Night of Navy and measure 8 1/2 x 4 1/4″, the inside Whisper White measures 4 x 5 1/4″, the outside piece of Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper is 3 x 4″, the Night of Navy Fold over piece is 3 1/4 x 4 1/2″, and the top piece of Whisper White is 3 x 4″
  • Score the Night of Navy panel at 5 1/2″
  • The bottom flap of each card has a 3 x 4 piece of Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper adhered to the Night of Navy panel. I love how this set of designer series paper matches all of the NEW 2017-2019 In Colors. It is a great choice of papers to get a ton of use out of for the next 2 years #wellworththemoney
  • The 4 x 5 1/4 Whisper White is adhered to the inside of the card using SNAIL. Now, I am a snail adhesive girl…I get it isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. But it has served me well for 17+ years and is STILL my go to adhesive 🙂
  • I stamped the greeting in each of the coordinating 2017-2019 In Colors on the Whisper White panel. The greeting is from the Great Big Greetings Stamp Set that was designed by our CEO’s husband. Well done Sean Douglas, this is one of my FAVS!!
  • The greeting is attached to the Night Of Navy Piece and then scored at 4 1/4 to leave just enough room to add some snail and adhere it to the back of the card base
  • I am just in love with these new In Colors, and I need to tell you a secret: I was not an early fan of Lemon Lime Twist….and now?! Friend, it is the REAL DEAL!! It looks great with everything and is super on trend!

and those bows?! Can we have a moment?! They are particulary spectaculor on these cards where you can even use them to help close the card! They come with a little adhesive on the back and when postioned just right they adhere perfectly to the front of the card AND help keep this tricky fold card closed #winning

just a heads up: I am taking the month of July off from blogging, but you can follow me on Instagram for daily inspiration and some RIDICULOUS deals!  www.instagram/lisapretto You really don’t want to miss it!!

Stampin'Up! At Home bundle, clean and simple, CAS, thank you card, flowers, DIY, papercrafting, rubber stamping

I thought it might be fun to give you an example of how the smaller images stand on their own and can create some great cards. The versatility of this bundle makes it a fabulous must have for your stampin’ studio!

Stampin'Up! At Home bundle, clean and simple, CAS, thank you card, flowers, DIY, papercrafting, rubber stamping

Details:

  • The card base is Stampin’ Up! Thick Whisper White Cardstock measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2″. I scored it at 4 1/4″ for easy folding and to make sure I had a crisp clean edge.
  • The top layer is Whisper White Cardstock and is 5 x 3 3/4″.
  • I stamped the flower pot in Tuxedo black Memento Ink and colored it in using markers. The flowers use Powder Pink and Berry Burst and the basket is So Saffron and Crushed Curry.

Inking Royalty Blog Hop: Sneak Peeks!

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s May Blog Hop! Today’s Blog Hop is filled with projects that offer you a sneak peek at new items in Stampin’ Up!’s 2017 Annual Catalog.

We are so excited about the June 1 release of this new catalog – it’s AMAZING – and we are excited to share our sneak peek creations with you today. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

You all know I love a good font! The minute I saw this new thinlit it jumped onto my “must buy ASAP” list. It is available to you June 1st. You will want it, trust me 😉

Stampin'Up! Happy Birthday Thinlit, polka dots, handstamped, papercrafts, diy, red, blue

Details:

Color combo is Real Red, Soft Sky, and Whisper White

Measurements are 5 1/2 x 8 1/2″ Soft Sky base, 4 x 5 1/4″ Real Red, 3 3/4 x 5 Whisper White

The polka dots are created using the circle from the NEW stamp set Wood Words. I love that the set coordinates with the Wood Crate bundle but I am also a huge fan of the circle, star and heart image that come with it. If you look closely you can see that there is some texture to the circle stamp which is really fun!

The thinlit really does all the work for this card. A quick swing thru the Big Shot with Real Red cardstock makes it a fast and simple card. I used my FINE TIPPED GLUE PEN to adhere it and the fun little sequins from the METALLIC SEQUINS

A great clean and simple card that you could easily make in a variety of colors as a birthday card for anyone!

The Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop: Sneak Peeks

Welcome to the Blog Hop for May 2017. This month our theme is Sneak Peeks.  You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Lisa Pretto of InkBig Academy Stamps or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Lisa Pretto of InkBig Academy Stamps.

Today I have a sneak peek of some pretty, pretty #swoonworthy paper and a stunningly beautiful new thinlit!

Stampin'Up! Lovely Words Thinlits, Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper, Hugs, yellow, papercrafting, DIY, handstamped, rubber stamped, clean and simple

Details:

  • The color combo is Whisper White and Daffodil Delight, with some soft background colors from the Delightful Daisies Designer Series Paper
  • Measurements: The card base is Thick Whisper White and measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2″, the Whisper White layer is 5 1/4 x 4″, the Delightful Daisy DSP is 4 x 3 /14, the Daffodil Delight square is 3 1/4 x 3 1/4″, and the Delightful Daisy Paper behind the square measures 3 x 3″
  • This card is very simple and straightforward with the only sticky part being to make certain your thinlit is centered. I find it quite easy as long as I use the Magnetic Platform and Big Shot. You can always make a little pencil mark in the middle of the Daffodil Delight square if you feel your “eyeballing” it isn’t up to par.
  • A wrap of our NEW Stitched Daffodil Delight Ribbon (BTW, you are going to LOVE all the new ribbon in this catalog!!) helps to anchor the sentiment. I added a 2 3 ” lengths to make the knot a little more of a WOW.
  • And I am so happy with our new Glimmer Dots along the side of the front panel. If you look closely you can see there is a beautiful color variation that adds to the fun of these new embellishments.

InKing Royalty Blog Hop: Stampin’Up! Retiring In Colors

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s April Blog Hop! Today’s hop is filled with projects inspired by the Stampin’ Up!’s retiring 2015-2017 In Color Collection – our tributes to Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder. What fun! We’ve really enjoyed playing with these amazing colors over the past two years – and we are excited to share our creations with you today.

After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Stampin'Up! Stylized birthday stamp, Cucumber Crush, heat embossing, gold tips, techniques, #lisapretto #inkbigacademystamps

Details:

  • I am focusing on Cucumber Crush today. I love how this bright green plays so beautifully with Whisper White and Gold accents
  • I remember the first time I saw heat embossing, it was like magic! TIPS: Be sure to use the EMBOSSING BUDDY to remove any static and keep a small paint brush nearby to fend off any stray embossing powder.
  • I am loving the Stylized Happy Birthday stamp! It is a great buy and works so well for any age and any gender birthday. This is definitely the little black dress of our stamps, you can dress it up or down so easily!
  • I cropped the sentiment out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits. The little stitching around the edge is a subtle yet great accent.
  • Gold Glimmer Paper, Gold Fancy Foil Acetate, and the Metallic Enamel Shapes add festive touches of gold to make this card special. I love my stash of sparkly accents to keep my cards crisp and clean yet give a special feel.
  • A layer and banner of Cucumber Crush create a great balance for the Whisper White and Gold Accents. And the play of banners and the circle offers clean lines and curved edges making the card more interesting.
