Let the Good Times Roll, Inking Royalty Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s April Blog Hop!

This year’s hops are themed around some of our favorite songs. Today’s hop is pulls inspiration from B.B. King’s song “Let the Good Times Roll.” How fun is that?! We’ve created projects that either feature images with wheels (cards, wagons, bikes) or celebrate good times. We are excited to share our projects with you.

After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

I decided to focus on “celebrating” and few things are as much fun to celebrate as a NEW STAMPIN’UP! CATALOG!! #amiright

So I wanted to share a few sneak peeks, available to you in May, AND a really fun gift card holder perfect to celebrate upcoming seasonal events: Mother’s Day, Baby Showers, Graduations and Bridal Showers.

Stampin'Up! Share What You Love bundle, may special, sneak peek, gift card holder, technique, tutorial, blog hop

Bright and Cheery with the Inking Royalty Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s March Blog Hop!

Today’s hop is filled to the brim with projects that celebrate Spring and Summer. With inspiration from Katrina & the Waves’ song “Walking on Sunshine,” we’ve created projects that share the joy and excitement that accompany warmer weather. We are excited to share our projects with you.

After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

First, I feel like I need to introduce myself since it has been so long since I have blogged! #bloggerwoes

But here is the deal: I donā€™t love to blog. Yep, it just isnā€™t my jam.

But you know what I do love? FacebookĀ

and I love connecting and sharing with you, and I feel like I can do a better job of that on Facebook.

So 2 things:

I am committing to #365creativechallenge. I am going to share for 365 days straight on my FB page AND do a giveaway each day for those who stop by and comment. So make sure you are part of my page HEREĀ

Secondly, I am going to use my WEEKLY newsletter to offer sales, specials and PDFs. So make sure you are signed up for that HERE

and I will blog occasionally like today, when I am doing blog hops with my team, because that is way fun!

So today I went with my of my favorite color combos: yellow and gray, in the form of Daffodil Delight and Basic Gray:

Stampin'Up! Heartfelt Blooms, SaleABration 2018, Handmade card, Clean and simple, CAS, card sketch, tutorial, technique

Details:

  • I did a lot of layering on this card, so lets start with measurements. The card base is Stampin’Up! Thick Whisper White Cardstock cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2″. I love the Thick Whisper White for a sturdy card base.
  • The layers then followed: Basic Gray at 5 1/4 x 4″, Daffodil Delight at 5 x 3 3/4″ and Whisper White at 4 3/4 x 3 1/2″.
  • The floral image from Heartfelt Blooms was stamped in Daffodil Delight on a piece of 3 3/4 x 2 3/4″ Whisper White. It is layered on a piece of Basic Gray that measures 4 x 3″.
  • Heartfelt Blooms is a SaleABration stamp set which means you can get it for free with $50 purchase in my online store
  • I love this stamp set! Everyone loves a good floral, but I love how this one is so versatile. It can be modern, retro, vintage….it really takes on the flavor of whatever you put with it. And you can only get it free until the end of the month. #youhavebeenwarned
  • I think the Smoky Slate Gingham Ribbon is just the most perfect finishing touch to keep this card fresh and sharp

Last Call for Sale-a-Bration with The Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop!

The Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop

Welcome to the Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop for March 2018. This month our theme isĀ Last Call for Sale-a-Bration!Ā  You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog ā€“Lisa Pretto @ InkBig Academy StampsĀ or you may have come from the person previous to me on the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you don’t miss any of the projects and inspiration.

So make sure you are signed up for that HERE

and I will blog occasionally when I am doing blog hops with my team, because that is way fun!

So today’s theme is all about the LAST CALL for SaleABration. SaleABration comes to a close the end of March and I have a couple items that I have fallen in love with and do not want you to miss out on!

This Spring Time Foils Designer Series Paper has to be one of my most favorite Stampin’Up! papers ever. It is stunning metallic prints on a creamy background. You know I am a clean and simple girl so I like to use it just as it is. But I have seen it colored and sponged to create one of a kind backgrounds.

  • 12 sheets of 12 x 12 paper
  • 3 each of four designs
  • Silver, Gold and Rose Gold
  • FREE with a $50 purchase

Confession time: I actually have 2 sets of the Celebrate Thinlit Dies because I was worried I might misplace one and knew I would want a back up. I love words and these sentiments perfectly cover almost every occasion!

They are one of the products you can earn for free with a $100 order during SAB, DEFINITELY worth it! I am smitten!

So here is my clean and simple card showcasing the two Stampin’Up! SaleABration items I sure don’t want you to miss:

Stampin'Up! SaleABration, Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper, Celebrate You thinlit dies, papercrafting, DIY, technique, tutorials

Details:

  • The card base is Stampin’Up! Thick Whisper White cardstock cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. I lightly score it before folding for a clean crisp fold line.
  • The Basic Black layer is 4 x 5 1/4″ and the top layer of Whisper White is 3 3/4 x 5″
  • The Springtime Foil Designer Series Paper is cut to 2″ wide. It is attached to a piece of Basic Black that is 2 1/4″ wide.
  • I then laid it across the card front and trimmed off the excess (and saved it of course to use on another project!)
  • The sparkly “celebrate” was cropped out using the Celebrate You thinlits and Stampin’Up! Gold Glimmer Paper. i like to use our Fine Tipped Glue Pen to adhere the sentiment to the card.
